Korean among next languages targeted by AI translation service: CEO

TOKYO -- Machine translation company DeepL expects to see demand for its services grow in Asia and says the region makes up "a large part" of its future business strategy, according to the startup's founder. Marcom Translation Sevice

The 29 languages for which it provides translation are mostly European but it also works with Japanese, Chinese and Indonesian. "There's still some Asian languages that we have to add to our portfolio," said DeepL's CEO Jaroslaw Kutylowski in an interview with Nikkei Asia on the sidelines of Nikkei's two-day Global Management Forum.
