With a diameter of 8.2 meters and a length of 12.7 meters, this overflow ball mill is said to be the largest one made in China, marking a breakthrough in the country's large-scale grinding equipment manufacturing.
It will be exported to a Chinese-funded mining company in Ghana, Africa, for gold mine production.
The ball mill adopts a number of core technologies, such as three-dimensional parametric design, smart load-sensing system and large gears manufacturing, said Tang Biliang, chief designer of the ball mill at the CITIC Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.
