The 21 best women

Fleece jackets, without fail, are another wintertime need. Much like your favorite sherpas, their plush teddy charm is one you won’t be able to forget, with many options for women taking a variety of shapes, sizes and styles.

The New York Post researched and rounded up the best fleece jackets for women you can buy right now — arguably the only list you’ll ever need.

Divided by category and including some of our must-have brands, we want to let you in on the inside scoop — whether you pick up a budget-friendly puffer-style jacket on Amazon or a splurge pick from Free People, rest assured you’ll be wearing a look everyone will want to copy.

Much hype surrounds The North Face Denali Jacket, namely because it hails from an outdoor brand we trust (simply put, everyone has owned something from The North Face at one point or another).

This selection features heavyweight, brand-patented Portalec fleece and is 100% sustainable — made from recycled body and overlay fabrics. Even better, it’s based on its iconic ’88 design.

If you’re looking to cap your purchase at $50, pick up the ReachMe Oversized Fleece Jacket. We love how it comes in a multitude of colors, has a two-tone appeal to add a bit of chicness to your look and can be paired with your best denim jeans or leggings.

The Columbia Benton Springs Fleece Jacket has received much acclaim for its universally loved style that spans from generation to generation. Whether you’re 20 or 60, you’ll love the positively warm nature of this jacket (and all of its glorious colors).

Add the Karen Scott Zip-Up Zeroproof Fleece Jacket if you’re looking for an affordable and simple outerwear piece to slip on when you want to stay warm. It’s lightweight yet incredibly warm — and we love how its athletic-leaning style can be worn with matching workout sets to the gym.

When Abercrombie is less than $50, we sprint. Shop the brand’s Abercrombie Oversized Sherpa Bomber Jacket for an outrageously warm zip-up that’ll make you feel like a marshmallow — in the best way. With the brand’s YPB neoKNIT Jogger ($60), you’ll surely be in your cozy girl era.

The Cider Fleece Stand Neck Flower Pattern Zipper Jacket is a surefire dupe to the Free People fleece if we’ve ever seen one — for less than $40, too! We had a difficult time choosing our favorite style, but this black and ivory contrast fleece is giving “flower power” in the best way.

The Free People Hit The Slopes Colorblock Pullover is our designer’s best pick, simply because this is the *exact* fleece jacket we sported all throughout our college days — and beyond. Whichever color combo you opt for, you’ll feel incredibly warm and ready for the outdoors. Plus, it’s undeniably stylish for afternoon hikes or running errands alike.

Skip the Prada handbags and designer sunglasses for now (though we love them) and invest in the Prada Cropped Double Fleece Jacket. We didn’t know the sworn-in favorite luxe name carried a fleece, but the second we saw it, we became obsessed with its to-the-body fit and signature red PRADA label.

Known for its parkas and cold-weather gear, Canada Goose is both respected and revered. For that reason, we recommend the Canada Goose Simcoe Oversized Fleece Hoodie.

It’s a sophisticated take on your standard fleece, and we love how it’s made with Kind High Pile Fleece — the brand’s “next generation of fleece, made primarily of recycled wool and bio-based fibers” to support its sustainability mission.

If there’s a designer we’re always scouring for at places like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and the like, it’s Theory. The Fleece Crewneck Jacket is ideal for anyone who’s obsessed with the “vanilla girl aesthetic,” as it’s the perfect fuzzy outerwear piece that can either be dressed up or down.

Varley is an up-and-coming designer sold at a variety of online retailers, and the Donley Fleece Jacket just so happens to be one of our favorite fleece options. It may not be as warm as other options on this list but we love its polished look and exaggerated lapel collar — a testament to how *big* everyday athleisure is becoming.

If a weather-resistant fleece jacket is what you’re after, the L.L.Bean PrimaLoft ThermaStretch Fleece is one of the top styles we recommend. Just shy of $75, it comes in a variety of colors that any age can appreciate (especially the outdoor lover).

The Carhartt Loose Fit Washed Duck Sherpa-Lined Jacket holds the brand’s traditional, woodsy appeal — and we love how it’s available in a generous size range. Whether worn with a pair of your favorite hiking boots or your favorite long underwear (if you’re heading for a camping tent, that is), this jacket will be that trusty option you’ll be glad you purchased.

For a fleece jacket that borders on a down winter coat, the ATLASLAVA Fleece Waterproof Insulated Jacket is one we couldn’t take our eyes off of. It’s available in a widespread color variety, though we love this classic gray color best. It’s ideal to sport in any climate — especially with a quality pair of rain boots, if you so need.

The Patagonia R1 CrossStrata Hoodie is one of the most popular fleece jackets out there, given its brand name and appeal. Shoppers love the exceptional quality of this style, too, as its mid-weight design balances warmth and breathability while its under-the-helmet hood allows you to climb or commute in comfort.

The RefrigiWear Hybrid Fleece Jacket has a rugged, can-withstand-anything type of appeal to it — and we love it if you’ll be spending plenty of time outdoors with this worn. It boasts a water-repellent, wind-tight finish, along with abrasion-resistant panels on the cuffs and side seams. Plus, we love its classic look.

Doesn’t the Parks Project Yellowstone Geysers Trail High Pile Fleece simply look comfortable? With a funky design we can’t help but shy away from, this outerwear staple features two high pile-lined pockets, elastic cuffs and an elastic waistband to keep you toasty.

Even better, it’s machine-washable (on the cold setting) and is made from 100% GRS-certified (Global Recycled Standard) polyester sherpa.

We scream, you scream, we all scream for…lululemon. Its Cinchable Fleece Zip-Up is, by far, one of the plushest options the brand has to offer, allowing you to snuggle up in its made-for-on-the-move outerwear zip-up.

What we also love? It includes a high collar and a drawcord at the hem to keep the warmth right where you want it.

Feel marshmallow-soft with the Calvin Klein Sherpa Mock Neck Jacket — now less than $70 for you to steal. Also available in beige and black, it’s styled with a zip closure along the front and slip pockets at both sides. More, it’s detailed with a banded hem and banded cuffs at the sleeve openings.

Simply put, we love the subtle draped nature of the Lea & Viola Oversized Fleece Jacket. This less-than-$100 find looks extremely high-end designer without compromising the quality (and yes, it looks exceptional with faux leather leggings!)

The Old Navy Oversized Full-Zip Sherpa Pullover is the perfect find if you want to keep spending around $25. It has the fuzzy-to-the-touch fleece feel, along with a zip-up design that won’t leave you too stuffy or cold (aka, it’s the Goldilocks of fleeces).
