SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The Food Bank of Siouxland received a sweet donation
The Sioux Honey Association Co-op donated over 6,000 bottles of honey. This is the biggest donation of honey that the food bank has ever received. Bottle Spray
Sioux Honey is glad to be able to help out and let people try their honey.
“To be able to do this and give everyone the opportunity to experience Sue Bee Honey and what we are as a cooperative is a great feeling,” said President Emeritus Sioux Honey Association Co-op Mark Mammen.
The Food Bank of Siouxland is excited about how this much honey is going to help the community.
“Where we got over three pallets, of delicious, nutritious honey today and that’s just a great item going into winter that we can use to support families and food insecurity this coming year,” Executive Director of the Food Bank of Siouxland Jacob Wanderscheid said.
This donation was part of a bigger donation, a total of 30,000 bottles of honey that are going to food banks around the country.
